In response to one of WEAVE project’s central research questions, ‘What open and reusable digital tools can be developed for working with Cultural Heritage content?’, the Coventry University team has been tasked with building up the capacity of CHIs to work with digital intangible heritage and with cultural communities. Next to creating a WEAVE methodological framework for for CHIs concerning community engagement and management, and to developing materials for training and capacity building, the WEAVE project has planned a series of engaging events named LabDays, where to enable cultural communities to discuss needs and requirements in the management and enhancement of their intangible and tangible heritage, also becoming a driver for the development of the WEAVE Toolkit.

The LabDay calendar begins with a first series of community engagement meetings in Autum 2021, including with a range of diverse and engaging events organized by WEAVE partners, either online, live on location and with streaming. A second series of events, programmed for Spring 2022, will have a focus on capacity building. And in addition to all this, there will also be a series of three Europeana WEAVE cafés in February 2022.
WEAVE is co-financed by the Connecting Europe Facility Programme of the European Union, under GA n. INEA/CEF/ICT/A2020/2288018
