In the framework of 50s in Europe Kaleidoscope project, on 3rd December 2019 in Coventry we will focus on the creative reuse of digital cultural heritage with a thematic focus on archival photographs related to 1950s Coventry.
The event will include presentations from invited speakers, digital tool-testing and a creative rephotography task.
Speakers will include: Prof. Neil Forbes (Coventry University), Dr. Elaine O’Sullivan (Coventry University), Victoria Northridge (Coventry Archives, The Herbert Art Gallery & Museum), Frederick Temmermans (imec) and John Balean (Topfoto).
Users are invited to bring a laptop (or tablet) and a smartphone (or digital camera), and to go across the streets of Coventry rain or shine, to capture corners of the city and compare with heritage photographs coming from the vast archives of partner TopFoto.
