The vocabulary of photography developed in the framework of the EuropeanaPhotography project was presented at the Conference Un llenguatge comú, una difusió eficaç. held at Museu Marítim de Barcelona on 4th November 2015. A representative of Photoconsortium explained how they used this vocabulary in its own institution in order to enrich metadata published on Europeana.
David Iglésias, from CRDI (Girona City Council) presented a paper about the strategy of CRDI for using the EuropeanaPhotograhy vocabulary and how the institution is oriented towards Web 3.0. The aim for using this technology is for the collection to be more visible and more easily accessible.
At the same Conference, Anna Busom, Head at the Culture Department of Generalitat de Catalunya, presented a paper about the work of reviewing and the translation to Catalan of the descriptors in the field of photography belonging to the Art and Architecture Thesaurus from Getty Institute. It is a resource to be used by Museums, Archives and Libraries in order to improve their catalogues.
