Digitization of museum collections is one of the priorities of the Museum of Photography in Krakow (MHF – Muzeum Historii Fotografii). Our commitment to digitization work, previously implemented within the Multiannual Culture + Government Program, is focused on successively completing online catalogue resources with new content.

In 2017, the Museum of Photography in Krakow counts a valuable collection of 17,000 digitized objects, all of which were incorporated into the MHF Virtual Museum. Among the digitized objects included a collection dedicated to labour and trade photography, works by one of the first Polish photographers Łukasz Dobrzański, a collection of photographs by Stanisław Mucha and a work by renowned photographer and cinematographer Wiesław Tomaszkiewicz. Normal activities of the Museum include education programmes and exhibitions.

MHF is one of the founder members of Photoconsortium.
