In Riga on 8-9 November 2016, the Annual General Meeting of Europeana association took place.This is an annual key event for Europeana and its network, providing the opportunity for Europeana and its partners for all to share, discuss and develop specific areas of mutual interest. Both days were filled with several inspiring speakers, working in Europe and beyond, who share the same passion about European Cultural Heritage, each and every one in a different way.

Interesting rounds of inspiring Ignite Talks complemented the programme. Among those, PHOTOCONSORTIUM will be presented by president Fred Truyen, who is also candidate for the next Europeana Members Council elections which started exactly during the AGM.

Also, Photoconsortium’s officer Sofie Taes was co-chairing a chef’s table about thematic collections, in the afternoon break out session of day 1 (8th November h 14.25 onwards).
The chef’s table offered the AGM attendees a possibility to learn, understand and ask questions about the thematic collection in Europeana, and infacts it is entitled “What can Thematic Collections do for you?”.
