From the curatorial effort of the EU project 1950s in Europe Kaleidoscope, every week on Friday there’s a new set of carefully selected photographs to be explored on the project’s website.

Today we present “Groomed”.

How do you get ready to go out? Or, more precisely: to go out-out? A visit to the salon, a brand-new outfit, a mani-pedi, or an accessory-oriented shopping spree…? Get inspired by this fifties collection of all things glam and groomed, sourced from Europeana.eu.
