The exhibition “Fashion, Sport, Tourism”, organized by Museo della Grafica (City of Pisa, University of Pisa) and open until the 29th of October, uses various medias such as graphic works, posters, clothes and videos to compose an original journey through images of champions, stylists and places that communication strategies and models from the early 20th century to the present day combine as motifs of theatre and cinema, graphics and advertising.
A book, published on the occasion of the exhibition and curated by Professor Alessandro Tosi and Professor Lorenzo Cantoni, presents stories and images that document these unexpected connections between some of the fundamental themes of modernity. The book encloses the aim of the exhibition to relate tourism to major sport and fashion personalities, linking closely the beauty of the athletic gesture to the elegance of clothing, crossing the XX century to the present day.
