For the third time, the photographic exhibition “Cazadores de Imágenes” comes back in Museo de Zaragoza, showcasing a sample of the winners of the III Jalón Ángel International Photography Prize, corresponding to the year 2017: Rafael Gelo and Lara Albuixech show a selection of 16 of their works, among which are the winning photographs of the 2017 award. The award is organized by the Jalón Ángel Photographic Archive, directed by professor Pilar Irala-Hortal, researcher at the San Jorge University. In this exhibition, the pictures inprint were done by MoosesBildwerk. The photographs that obtained the special mention in each of the categories (Portrait and Travel) and whose authors are Tamara Marbán (Travel) and Antonio Farto (Portrait) are also on display in the exhibition.
The opening was on March 27th. During the ceremony, the Award of the IV edition (2018) was given to the winners. This year the photographers are Debdatta Chakraborty (India), in Portrait category, and Nity Jannatul (Bangladesh) in Travel section. The winners will be awarded with 1000€, a commemorative sculpture and a diploma. The IV Jalón Ángel International Photography Award was a real success. The deadline for submitting to the contest ended on March 4 with a balance of more than 2,200 images received; 1,220 in the Portrait category and 1,018 in the Travel category. This figure means duplicating the number of works received in comparison to previous editions.
