The webinar “Arranging and Describing Collections of Photographs for DRI”, organised by DRI and hosted by Beth Knazook, will introduce techniques for effectively processing, arranging, and describing collections of photographs. It’ll be possible to explore practical solutions to improve organisation and access to collections with photographic materials and learn more about the ways in which archival description has adapted to the unique challenges presented by digital resources.
The webinar will take place online on Tuesday 17th October 2023, from 11.00AM to 12.30PM
This will help develop visual literacy skills, devise practical solutions to processing and digitising large collections, and introduce the common metadata standards and controlled vocabularies that help to facilitate access.
This course is open to individuals from Digital Repository of Ireland (DRI) member organisations. Registration in advance is required for this session.
