Graphic works, posters, clothes and videos compose an original journey through images of champions, stylists and places that communication strategies and models from the early 20th century to the present day combine as motifs of theatre and cinema, graphics and advertising.
These are splendid stories of fashion, sport, scenery and tourist itineraries: from Elsa Schiaparelli to Emilio Pucci, Purest, Lacoste, Federer and more, up to the videos in which Roger Federer conveys the image of Switzerland and a possible, new Grand Tour of it. Produced by “Switzerland Tourism“, the videos are highly emblematic of visual communication models capable of suggesting fascinating connections and in fact entrust the tourist message to one of the most popular and beloved sports champions, synonymous in the contemporary imagination of the beauty of athletic gestures closely linked to the elegance of clothing and fashion
The exhibition relates tourism to major sport and fashion personalities, linking closely the beauty of the athletic gesture to the elegance of clothing.
Organised by the Museo della Grafica (City of Pisa, University of Pisa) and the USI – Università della Svizzera italiana, the exhibition is part of the programme of the international conference Fashion communication: between tradition and future digital developments (3-5 July).
