JPEG (Joint Photographic Experts Group) is a joint working group of the International Standardization Organization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), with a long tradition in the creation of still image coding standards.
On the 25th June 2015 our Ambassador Frederik Temmermans of iMinds presented PHOTOCONSORTIUM at the JPEG periodic meeting hosted by the Poznań University of Technology in Warsaw.
Audience was composed by the members from the JPEG Committee and the main aim of the presentation was to create awareness of Photoconsortium. Photoconsortium infacts represents an important user group and therefore relevant to Jpeg Committee in order to get input for future standardisation needs. In addition, many people from the Committee have somehow relations with the (more technical) photography world and showed interest follow the activities of Photoconsortium.
The full presentation by Frederik Temmermans is available (PDF, 9Mb).
The slides are edited by Sofie Taes (KU Leuven) for Photoconsortium.
